Aboriginal Cultural Differences in Probation & Sentencing

As noted by the Judge in R. v. McBride (2003), "I place a great deal of confidence in the judgment of experienced probation officers." As such, because the Courts appreciate a detailed Pre-Sentence Report by the Probation Officer, anyone contemplating becoming a probation officer must realize that a lot of reading, investigation and compilation is required and hopefully the current book, although not exclusive, gives the reader an opportunity to "pour through" some of those cases.
