Beskrivelse
Forty-four wild flowers. Forty-four poems, each one as delicate and enduring as the plants themselves. Some of the flowers featured are common, but they're never ordinary; others are rarer, yet all around us. And whilst some stand proud in the open country, others prefer the anonymity of the overgrown hedgerow or the seclusion of a coastal rock. John Barnie takes us to all these places, using each flower in turn as a poetic starting point. Along with their English, Welsh and Latin names, he has also included his own photographs of each flower, so that we too can put a face to the name
