A Whiskey Shot, A Cuckoo Clock, and Murder

When Maven and Beulah "Cookie" Simmons meet a detective at a bar who is bragging about solving an old mystery in their hometown, the two women don't think anything about it. Yeah, maybe he was a little forward and a little drunk, but Mama and Cookie never expect to see him again, so who cares? Until unexpected circumstances cause him to stay at their house. Now, Mama and Cookie must figure out what mystery he was solving because their new houseguest isn't any help, and he is taking up space! Will Mama and Cookie be able to solve the mystery that has gone decades without answers, or will they strike out as the cuckoo clock chimes midnight?
