A Treatise on Relics

The Treatise on Relics is an indictment of Calvin against the worship of relics in use in the Catholic Church. With this writing, he calls for the disappearance of "this pagan superstition of canonizing the relics, both of Jesus Christ and of his saints, to make idols of them". The text consists of two parts: first an essay which analyzes the pious frauds and other "lies" linked to this cult; then, a catalog raisonn? of these relics.
