Studying the Book of Numbers This book study is about the Old Testament Book of Numbers, which is the fourth part of five documents (or the Pentateuch) that the Judeo - Christian God (the God of Creation) commanded that Moses record to detail the journey of the family of people, "Israel." This family of people that became a nation was established of God to bring His Son of John 3:16 into the world The message of the Judeo - Christian Bible is autonomous; that is to say it does not leave the door open for additional, or variations of revelation of its message The whole truth of what the Holy Spirit of God wants revealed is made available, from beginning to end Now, because of the learning process, it is expected that individuals shall constantly come up with new understanding. But the new understanding shall not contradict the revelation of the original message So the question arises, "what is the original message?" Most practicing Christians could probably fashion their own list. But I will only give you mine, which is just one Scripture verse: John 3:16. Every other "passage(s) of scripture(s)," in some way relates to this one (Old or New Testament writings) Other declarations of (for lack of a more meaningful word) "religion(s)" specify revelation(s) of whatever sort; according to its message. But it is likely no two "religions" shall say precisely the same thing Thus, other "religions" do not say what the Judeo - Christian Bible says, and vice versa So then, recognizing a responsibility as a disciple of this Judeo - Christian Doctrine, and Jesus Christ, let us make a judgment; whether this Christian Doctrine is, or is not the same revelation of messages being portrayed elsewhere Because it seems many folks (especially folks in positions of leadership) have decided there is no difference I must say; for the first time in a long while I am without words for such opinions. And must conclude, "We have not the Lord Jesus Christ in common" And it is His blood sacrifice for the human race the Judeo - Christian Bible ultimately reveals
