Beskrivelse
This study observes some of the underlying seriousness of the musical multimedia genre apart from its surface diversionary values, while acknowledging that technology produces anxiety in people that relates to violence. Through a descriptive process, it reveals content and technology connecting to psychological and social aspects which allow audiences to interact with performances. The study also recognizes alteration of sound and that musical multimedia technology has challenged and changed former concepts of language through its visualization capabilities which are nonlinear in comparison to linear verbal communication. What those visualization processes communicate and to whom depends upon target audiences, which are sometimes limited in scope relative to cultural and educational understanding. The focus is on
The Rolling Stones, The Blue Man Group, Laurie Anderson, and Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Starlight Express.
