This series of letters, dated 1902-1904, tells of him in more serious situations. His ship dealt with 'Pirates' of The Caribbean.' He has a "personal'
flag and takes possession of them for salvage rights. He gets thrown into more personal situations with his Captains, Admirals, and short relationships with women who are introduced to him.
