An "American History" book dealing with the people, events, speeches and political intrigue during the 30 years leading up to the Civil War. This is not another "Causes of the War" book. This is resurrected history, lost, forgotten, or ignored stories that demonstrate the growing hatred, distrust, and double dealing that led to the war.
