Experimental One-act/4m, 1f Cool, imaginative, whimsical... joyous Village Voice A QUICK NUT BREAD TO MAKE YOUR MOUTH WATER might be the definitive play of the sixties. In the guise of an open rehearsal, three actors encourage, abet and challenge each other on spiritual, mental and physical levels. They're by turns playful, stoned, drunk, angry, horny, sad, lost, metaphysically zoned out, and even genuinely uplifted. They argue, play with each other's minds, explore platonic and romantic relationships, and the deeper meanings of life, all the while paying serious attention to their baking. How close do they get? Decide for yourself while enjoying the delicious nut bread the cast serves the audience at the play's close.
