The reader is introduced to "The Prayer for His Country" by our nation's first president, George Washington. Other patriots include James Madison, John Jay, Thomas Paine, William Pitt, Benjamin Franklin, Patrick Henry, John Adams, and Anne Bradstreet. Prayers from native Americans are included also.
