A Pagan in Byzantium

A PAGAN IN BYZANTIUM spans the Sixth Century A.D. from the death gasps of the Roman Empire through the rise of Byzantine power to the onset of the Dark Ages. Flavus Agricola is a military engineer who helps to build the Hagia Sophia, the most impressive construction project the world had ever seen.
