Her Christmas Wish . . .Maddie Wallace spent most of her youth in foster care, where she planned a bright, shiny future for herself, one far different from the dark, difficult years she experienced as a child. Now she's on the cusp of achieving the perfect life, one painfully cultivated over the years from internet and magazine photos, right down to the family she hopes to create with her almost-fianc Tucker. All she has to do is cook the perfect Christmas Eve dinner in order to get him to propose, and her dreams will become reality. Only one small detail stands in her way . . . .She has absolutely no idea how to cook. Her solution? Attend a Christmas auction and purchase sexy Chef Joe Milano to teach her what she needs to know. But what he doesn't anticipate is how utterly lacking she is in all culinary skills. Because I understand you hit a serious snag during the writing. What happened?
Oh, man I really did. You see, in order to write a book about Joe teaching Maddie how to pull together Christmas Eve dinner, you actually have to know how to cook How can Joe teach Maddie if I don't know what to write? You'd think that would have occurred to me, but no. Major oops. Fortunately, one of my mom's friends had a daughter who was a gourmet chef and she kindly helped me out of my jam. Any mistakes are (clearly) my own. On the plus side, I picked up some great tips. On the not-so plus side, I still totally suck at cooking. Thank God my husband loves to or we'd spend a fortune on take-out/delivery.You seem to write a lot of Italian heroes. Are you Italian?
I wish, lol. Nope, I'm from descended from Irish and British stock. But I love writing about Italian culture, especially the way they love and celebrate the family. You can see that connection in two of my series: The Salvatore Brothers and The Dante DynastyBe sure to visit my website at: https: //www.dayleclaire.com/ for the latest news and updates, to sign up for my newsletter, and for more wonderful series
