Lexton Greer set up shop as Kingpin of Mecca, Ga, in King's old territory, then continued the reign of supplying addicts with their drug of choice. Unlike King, Lex didn't fantasize about becoming a kingpin. He didn't dream of anything, until six years after King's title, crown, and throne was dropped into his lap and he stumbled upon the one woman that would make him want something more than what the streets of Mecca and his crew, the Eastside Devils, could give. First, Lex needs to get out of the life of fast money, fast living, and fast dying before it's safe to make her his... especially when Lex has what amounts to the devil on his heels, the Southside Ryders. Chiness Moonlight gave up on being an expert-shoplifter-for-hire months ago and hired someone else to rob the stores blind so she can concentrate solely on reaching for her dreams of creating one-of-a-kind clothing. Her plans: use her creations to finance a one-way trip out of Mecca before a bullet puts her in the grave with the rest of her relatives. Those plans get put on hold when money goes missing from Lex's Counting Room and the thief disappears. Lex isn't out of the gangster's life yet, and he needs to hold someone accountable for the theft. Who better to make responsible and keep close until the money is returned along with the thief than the woman who hired the thief and stole his heart three years ago?
