This second edition book has been modified extensively in August 2021. In this book Bhagavad-Gita, Vishnu Pura¿a, Manu-smriti, Darshanas, and Brahma-sutras have been explained in detail. The other texts, namely, Vedangas, Yuga, Pralaya, Ramaya¿a, Mahabharata, Pura¿as, Tantra, and Shivagamas have been explained briefly. The Vedas including the Upanishads are explained in another of my books. This book is a review of the Smriti texts and the subsidiary category texts. The main scriptures that come under smriti texts are: The two great epics Ramaya¿a and Mahabharata (Bhagavad-Gita is a part of Mahabharata), Pura¿as, and Dharma Shastras. The subsidiary category includes Darshanas, Tantras, and Shivagamas.
