A JOURNEY OF HOPE AND DESPAIR : A CARER'S EXPERIENCE AND PERSPECTIVES WITH PROSTATE PATIENT

As males with penis and scrotum, we have a high chance of experiencing an enlarged prostate as we grow older. This enlargement if not caught on time can impact on the quality of life of the affected individuals and false families.

This book narrates a first-hand experience of a Carer looking after an old Male suffering from prostate enlargement who later passed from complications of the disease. In the book, the Carer takes us through several periods from when the patient was diagnosed, through the patient's battle with the disease, to the final day of the patient on earth.

The narrative provides us with the Carer's perspectives and advice regarding the disease and his experience with the patient. Though set in Southeast Nigeria, the tips shared in the book are for everyone with a prostate.
