In the little Texas town of Bonnet, where the love of football is as big as the state itself, entanglements that have taken lifetimes to form slowly unravel during one football season. After a career-ending injury cut short his playing days at The University of Texas, Doug Meadhran, Bonnet's best ever football player, switched sports and became a golfer bound for stardom. Unfortunately, family responsibilities and conflict prevented him from getting there. For the past eighteen years Doug has mourned his lost dreams, with depression costing him his marriage and all ambition.
