A Gurlz Dream

"A Gurlz Dream" is not only the title of this story, but it is the name of a business started by two little girls. Amari and Autumn are two little elementary school students who started their own business, "A Gurlz Dream." Dr. Ledford's touching experience with one of the little girls prompted her to write this convincing story outlining how young people can set rules and stick to them. Amari refused to break the rules of her company when she tried to sell one of her products to her School Nurse, Dr. Ledford. Regardless, of the fact that Dr. Ledford is someone she loves and respects, their business rule..."NO CASH, NO PRODUCT" would not be broken for her or anyone. Dr. Ledford argues that, unlike many adults in the business world, these little girls will have an undeviating business long after many businesses started by adults are folded. The message that these young entrepreneurs have for their peers and all adults who aspire to have their own business is quite inspiring and empowering knowing that there are so much to be learned.....especially from these two little girls.
