This cookbook was compiled by two Southern ladies who place little confidence in fad diets. Instead, we have confidence in the wholesome foods favored by our maternal ancestors, and we have never lost our faith in the egg.
Cousins and friends, Ann Hemperley Dobbs and Helen Hardin Peterson cook fabulous southern dishes with love and hard work. They serve up the wonderful dishes presented in their book. They also serve up stories from their earliest years together right up to the present, where they preside over the Dodge Hill Inn in Eastman, Georgia.
