The book collects a series of articles and reflections on the situation of the Christian church in the West today. The crisis of Christianity consists in having lost the fundamental touch of humanity that in various phases of its history has characterized it well, distinguishing it from various organizations. The Second Vatican Council reminded us that the evangelical message is based on the humanity of Jesus. This message rich in humanity shows that the kingdom announced and lived to the full by Jesus himself is based on the quality of our humanity achieved by living it for and with others.
