"If the Lord had not been on our side, they would have swallowed us up destroyed]." That statement was made by the Israelites in Psalm 124:1-3. The statement is relevant to Katherine W. Fisher's life. Fisher's good and growing faith sustained her in the serious tragedies and difficulties which she has experienced in her life. You can build a strong faith too God said that He will not leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). This is a faithful saying and promise.
Fisher wrote A Faith Builder for Children because she feels deeply that it will help to build in youth a strong faith and trust in God. Life's storms are not always in the forecast. We need a solid foundation of faith so that we will not be thrown off base and become despondent, depressed and discouraged. We could just give up. This book should help to keep you grounded and on track in adversity and difficulty.
About the Author
Katherine W. Fisher is a native of the state of West Virginia. She was married to the late Archie L. Fisher of Hamlet, North Carolina. From that union two lovely daughters were born: Lynn and Lejuene. Both are adults and both are dedicated Christians. Lynn is married to Kelvin Pettaway; he is also a dedicated Christian. They have only one child: Hope Pettaway. She is Fisher's only granddaughter and is very dear to her heart. She is being brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Fisher has a degree in Bible Studies from International Bible College (Heritage University) in Florence, Alabama. The author has done missionary work in the following: Indiana, Washington D.C., Alabama, Haiti, Georgia, and Memphis, Tennessee. The writer has been involved in a jail ministry for 15+ years in Valdosta, Georgia, where she resides. With the help of Frank Baldwin, a fellow congregant, they have brought 50+ jail inmates to Jesus Christ. Fisher would be totally remiss if she did not mention Frank Baldwin's name and give him the credit due to him. Also, Fisher is currently involved in a ministry at the homeless shelter in Valdosta.
She will go where God leads her.
