A Day In The Country is a whimsical and pastoral story which follows the misadventures of five friends (and their dog) during a day's outing at a rural riding school.
It is a vintage tale of times past and sunny, summer days in England; imbued with the slower pace of a former age, an age where time stood still and it seemed the summer would last forever.
An England we remember from our grandparents and one which is now long gone; Step into the past with the friends as they set out for an idyllic day of riding, laughter, and unexpected mysteries.
The author had a lifelong love of the countryside, farming and animals which shines through every page of this gentle and humourous story which includes beautiful bespoke artwork to illustrate the twists and turns of one summer's day in the country
