General Errol, the commanding officer of the royal guard, has survived a near death experience that drains his magic, robbing him of his wings, and depleting his sight. He doesn't know how he will be able to keep his oath to his king to protect Princess Imani.

Errol must thwart unsuitable suitors who use muse magic to drive artists mad and romantic rivals who illegally smuggle electricity and Internet in the Faerie Realm despite the dangers this poses to all. As King Viridios grows more demanding that Princess Imani must marry one of his heirs, Errol must authenticate his lineage to prove he is an eligible suitor-if she will still have him.
