Beskrivelse
Ter n's second book, Plaza de los Comunes, has been a resounding success and has opened doors for her, despite its small run and publication in Nicaragua, where she no longer resides. She clearly learned from her rst volume and structured this book with great care in order to give a dialectical progression of the power of love as a universal force. Plaza de los Comunes stands out above all for its humanism. It is a testimo- ny not only of personal triumphs and bitterness but of the possibilities of love as a weapon against social atomization, alienation and sel shness. It is a frank genealogy of the development of love and anguish in which Ter n reveals her errors, weaknesses and con- tradictions as well as her successes and strengths. It is an honest and universal book that teaches us that the road to a just world for all may be long and rocky but it can be traversed through solidarity.
