Detective Inspector Mike Dearing likes to throw himself into missing persons and murder cases, with the occasional help from an unconventional source, psychic medium Veronica Plant.

 

When Veronica retired early from teaching and began her new life in the idyllic setting of Little Eden's Corner, she was hoping for a quieter pace of life.

 

However, events from the village's past soon come back to haunt newcomers and old residents alike. These events lead to several mysteries surrounding unpredicted deaths. Will would-be amateur sleuth Veronica be able to cope when she finds herself at the centre?

 

Not everyone is who they seem, and before all the mysteries are solved, Veronica faces both personal danger and even a little romance.
