Political system of Islam is based on three fundamental principles, namely: Tawheed (unity of God more appropriate to call Allah, meaning he only true God), Risalat (Prophethood) and Khilafat (vicegerency). The knowledge of these three fundamental principles is a prerequisite of understanding and appreciationg different aspects of Islamic Polity.
