Beskrivelse
In the late nineteenth century, many renowned physicists believed that there was nothing fundamentally new to be discovered, nothing to be changed in the physical conception of the universe. Of course, there were still some specific problems to be understood and gaps to be filled, but this could be done by applying the theories already developed: classical mechanics, thermodynamics, and electromagnetic theory. The turn of the century and the years that followed would show how far this was from the truth. The Theory of Relativity and Quantum Mechanics would profoundly alter the foundations of physics. This small book presents the main moments and most important characters of the scientific revolution that was the development of Quantum Mechanics.
