I used to believe that being humble meant putting myself last and downplaying my accomplishments, talents, and unique qualities. I thought humility meant being unremarkable and that I needed to dislike myself. However, I eventually realized that this perspective was unhealthy and caused me to feel terrible. As I grew older and became more self-aware, I realized that it's okay to have a healthy sense of self-worth. In fact, the more I love and appreciate myself, the easier it is for me to maintain healthy habits that allow me to better serve and support others in my personal and professional life.
