Beskrivelse
The studies of the press constitute a null in the current Cuban historiography. Santa Clara does not constitute an exception in this aspect. It is necessary today to integrate these studies with what happened after the triumph of the Cuban revolutionary process. In order to cover the previously declared emptiness, the research is entitled: 36 months of changes in education in Santa Clara from the pages of El Villareño between 1959-1961. The objective is to analyze how the newspaper El Villareño represented the changes in education in Santa Clara between 1959-1961. The present research reveals a complex process of changes that can be seen through a regional perspective and its intimate relationship with the national perspective. To fulfill the proposed objective, the researcher used the following methods: historical-logical, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive. In addition, it is empirically supported by the analysis of documents, the contrast of sources, interviews, as well as the iconographic method.
