Beskrivelse
At 3 p.m. on June 17, 1997, Robert Joseph DiPietro was shot and killed outside of the Roadhouse Pub in Peabody, Massachusetts. Brianna Lee DiPietro, his daughter and author of 30: Reflections of Resilience, Growth, and an Age No Longer Feared, was only 6 years old.
Though the gun sense movement plays a major role in the underlying theme, DiPietro's focus is on shared human experience, good and bad, and the unmatched potential of someone who is supported, no matter what they've experienced.
She recounts her personal experience growing through trauma, speaks with other survivors and leading gun sense advocates like Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America; Rob Wilcox, federal legal director at Everytown for Gun Safety; and more.
Through DiPietro's storytelling, you will find comfort as you navigate a life all your own. If you've been moved by the need to end gun violence in this country, you'll learn about some of the most immediate ways you can get involved.
