Beskrivelse
The 2019-2023 Calaveras Ranger District Camper Origin Study provides an analysis of origin data of campers depicting the states, counties, ZIP Code areas, and city areas from which campers originated for the federally managed campgrounds on the district over the past five years. The data gathered came from over 20,000 Recreation Fee Envelopes collected from visitors to pay for the nights they camped on the district during the 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 seasons. This study utilizes the framework established in previous annual studies and offers a holistic analysis of camper origin data. A discussion of noteworthy trends observed throughout the five years of recent studies, as well as a comparison of the collected data to information gathered via location intelligence systems are included in this publication.
The specific information provided in this study may be used by land managers, county officials, business developers, and local operators as they participate in the outdoor recreation industry in the Central Sierra Nevada. This study took place within the Calaveras Ranger District of the Stanislaus National Forest in California.
