But the [Holy] Spirit distinctly and expressly declares that in latter times some will turn away from the faith, giving attention to deluding and seducing spirits and doctrines that demons teach. (1 Timothy 4:1 AMP) We live in a day in which great deception has crept into the church. In some congregations, it is no longer popular to use the word sin. The cross has been removed from some churches because it is offensive. Many churches no longer submit to any type of spiritual authority. Lawlessness seems to permeate the very atmosphere in which we live. Undercurrents of rebellion have successfully wound their way into the foundational fabric of seemingly successful ministries and churches. Many of our churches and ministries are sitting on a proverbial time bomb. In this timely and important book, Darrell McManus identifies and exposes the twelve seducing spirits that have been sent by Satan to target and destroy anointed homes, churches, and ministries. As Christians, unless we are able to identify and understand these spirits, we will not be able to drive them out of our houses of worship. First Timothy 4:6 says that anyone who is willing to deal with seducing spirits is considered to be a 'worthy steward and a good minister of Jesus Christ.' These demonic spirits are dangerous and destructive. They do their master's work, and they are very good at it. It is up to us, as believers, to be on guard against them so that we do not fall into sin and corruption and, thus, bring dishonor to the Lord.
