I ABSOLUTELY LOVE OLD FASHIONED LOVE STORIES, and their Regal, Royal Reported dramatizations. The depiction of what love looks like on the television screen, IS NOTHINGLESS THAN UTTER PERFECTION!
I happened to watch the movie, "Bridgerton" and watched it several times, swept away by Shonda Rhymes opening scene of the unfolding beauty of Whistledown's Grosvenor's Square 1813.
Oh, the excitement and borderline abuse as the aristocratic young ladies in waiting prepared for their debut before the queen. I was delighted to see their devotion to dressing to impress the Queen and parading themselves before her for her seal of approval. I watched as the episodes continued, each building upon the next and loved seeing both the ladies and gentlemen rendition of their interpretation of love.
At the end of the movie (SPOILER ALERT) there is a scene where the rain falls as the two main characters Daphne and Simon dance the waltz to "Vivalaldi, The Four Seasons Spring 1,"- Recomposed by Max Richter.
As the stately looking couple Waltz across the checkered floor, suddenly rain begins to fall. The camera focuses on the rain drops falling on Daphne, Simon, their beautiful portrait, a bowl of fruit, glasses of wine, champagne or otherwise and bouquets of flowers. As soon as I saw the flowers response to the rain, I heard ever so clearly, "When the Rain Falls, The Flowers Bloom." The view of the flowers opening up for the rain reminded me of marriage. My hope is to extend my hand to you as Simon reached to grab Daphne's hand to whisk her out of the rain. It is my prayer that this will be a guide, a seed towards a better marriage/relationship for you and your spouse. There are good days and learning days in marriage, and just as flowers blossom when the rain falls, so should your marriage/relationship strengthen when trouble comes. I pray that this book helps you to step out of your usual traditional responses and open your heart to new ways of addressing problems within your marriage/relationship and in life.
