Research is a powerful problem-solving tool yet a sore point for many high school and college educators. Unfortunately, teaching courses with significant research content is often seen by them as a 'chore', rather than being perceived as panaceas to influence young minds to think outside the box. Many educators do not feel that they have what it takes to teach and mentor their students in acquiring and developing excellent research skills, often citing that research is a challenging subject. Some, with whom I have dialogued, explicitly stated that they are intimidated by anything to do with research, often citing their need for a refresher course in the subject. This book was designed with the needs of such educators in mind. The narrative is focused on considerations that every educator should heed if they are to harness the desired results from their students. It is my sincerest desire that each person who reads this book will be enlightened about practical ways to bring the best researchers out of their students.
