Beskrivelse
A study of the political and religious situation in the province of Valencia in eastern Spain, focusing primarily on the 6th century AD. With five major authorities holding political control in the south-east of the peninsula, Marti discusses archaeological evidence from sites and cemeteries, as well as textual and artistic evidence to discover the extent of authority held by each of these parties (Hispanic-Roman, Bishops, Visigoths, Byzantines and Francs).
