The Yoruba Story of Creation A children's Story

'The Yoruba Story of Creation' is an exciting tale that follows the mythical adventures of Obatala, one of the Orisa who make up the Yoruba pantheon, as he created the Earth and the first people. It begins with Obatala consulting Olodumare, the Supreme Being, and ends, after many twists, turns and challenges, with the Earth as we know it today.



This book, aided by beautifully crafted illustrations will resonate with children and adults around the world who wish to know more about the myths and rich cultural heritage of the Yoruba, a large ethnic group within West Africa, specifically and Africa more generally.



Ayodele Sasegbon is a young Nigerian born, UK based medical doctor with a deep interest in his Yoruba culture. He was motivated into retelling this tale to help propagate the myths and values inherent in Yoruba culture to the wider world.
