Beskrivelse
This book deals with an issue related to the Olympic Winter Games that has been a topic of interest since their introduction in 1924. Nine years before the next staging of the Olympic Winter Games takes place, the whole world is wondering who will bid for the Games. Being an Applicant City means a lot. It means facing a tremendous amount of work, a considerable image boost and a global media presence over years. It is clear that all Applicant Cities really want to host the Games; however, as only one city out of many is elected, it is enough for some of them to become a centre of global attention for years as the financial investment put into an application more than pays off in terms of gained publicity. Because of the importance of the Olympic Winter Games, the goal of this book is to evaluate which winter sport destinations all over the world that have never applied for or hosted the Olympic Winter Games, might be future Applicant or Candidate Cities.
