Beskrivelse
What causes an airline pilot to give up his comfortable life and move to the streets?
In 2006, Miranda and her dog stumble on a homeless man in the wood behind Owly Vale. She tries to take him home and feed him but he is apparently desperate to go back on to the streets. Unable to do more, she gives him money and a lift up to London.
A few years later he is back in Owly Vale: this time he is dead.
When Miranda and the SeeMs Detective Agency are asked to investigate why a house in Owly Vale won't sell they again stumble on the story of the homeless man. One hundred and fifty homeless people died unidentified on the streets every year, and no one has the time to discover who they are. But Miranda and her agency have both the time, and a client.
As they try to discover who the homeless man is and why he died on the streets they are drawn into a world of airline pilots, cross-dressing night clubs and those who would take advantage of the homeless.
Then one of the team (herself once homeless) is threatened by the killer. Can her friends save her from the same fate as the unknown homeless man?
