The Lord's Handmaiden

Mary was an ordinary young woman when the angel of the Lord appeared to her and brought a great message from the Lord. Her response was simply "Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word." As a result of her submission to the will of God, she became a vessel of grace that carried the Saviour of the world.
