When Grace Hall wakes up in a different story than the one in which she meditated into sleep, she must make a choice - embracing the love of a stranger or clinging to the love of a ghost.
Grace Hall had a dream - she wanted to become a writer; to weave her words and ideas into a story that will enchant readers. And though she had the talent and the skills, she lacked the spark needed to write something she was proud of.
Deciding that she will put her writing on hold until the day of inspiration comes, she returns to the profession of teaching, marries David - the love of her life, and gives birth to two wonderful children - Owen and Maeve. Life, so it seemed, had love and happiness to offer her even without her ability to write.
Until disaster strikes.
David dies unexpectedly in a car accident at the age of 47, forcing Grace to confront with loss and heartbreak. While struggling with writing and devastation, Grace turns to a meditative exercise hoping it will ease her troubled mind and release her of the chains binding her to what has already happened and cannot be changed. Little does she know that when she wakes up from this exercise, she will find herself in a different time and path in life. She will be thrown into a different orbit of herself and her life, in which a stranger called Hugh will teach her every lesson she needs to learn in order to love and write.
The Color of the Sky at Dusk enlaces the inconceivable and impossible love and bond between Grace - the aspiring writer, and Hugh - the mysterious stranger who seems to know more about her than anyone else, herself included. Their journey will take them on a path of both darkness and light, conjuring losses, desires, heartbreak, hope, and the impossible into a turmoil of both past and present within the same story.
