This book is a guide to Hazardous Materials Emergency Response. It combines a fundamental Chemistry text with specific information on the hazards associated with each class of molecules and recommendations on the safe response to incidents involving these materials including recommended Personal Protective Equipment, Monitoring, Decontamination and Cleanup. The topics covered include chemical theory applied to each type of molecule and discussions of toxicity, flammability, reactivity and environmental issues.
