Beskrivelse
Time and nature flow through all of us. Although no one can fully capture the ineffable currents of life, Miriam S. Moss spent years observing and participating in the natural world in New Jersey's Pine Barrens and recording thoughts in her journal. During that time, over almost thirty years, mostly from the 1970s through the 1990s, she and her husband Sidney lived for many a weekend in their secluded primitive cabin.
This book represents thoughts generated by quietly sitting in her cabin observing flora and fauna and considering life and nature in the world of her time. She often wrote sitting on a rocking chair looking at the nearby stream or at the living room table writing by the light of two kerosene lamps. These journal entries speak to her deepest feelings, and now at age 92 they still resonate much as they did when they were written decades ago. We hope that these words will also be meaningful to interested readers.
