At once a narrative and an essay, this collection of anecdotes and short stories follows hundreds of characters, protagonists in this age of stupor in which almost everybody wants to be someone else or--at a minimum--to be different. The common thread that unites the collections of disparities narrated in this compilation is the face, for according to the author everything happens on the face and everything is the face. Additionally, this book is a confession as well as a reflection, since the author poses questions both to his audience and to himself, and his discourse is not so much about obtaining an answer as it is about determining which questions are worth asking.
