Beskrivelse
Radio technology refers to the technology that is concerned with the use of radio waves to carry information. Radio systems operate by using a combination of a transmitter, an antenna and a receiver. Such systems work within the frequency range between 3 kHz and 300 GHz. The transmitter modulates some aspect of the energy such as frequency, amplitude or phase to impress a signal on it. The purpose of the antenna is the conversion of electric currents into radio waves, and vice versa. The electromagnetic energy generated propagates in space, and is subject to reflection, refraction or diffraction. It is intercepted by a receiving antenna and then demodulated at the receiver. The ever-growing need of advanced technology is the reason that has fueled the research in this field in recent times. This book attempts to understand the multiple branches that fall under the discipline of radio technology and how such concepts have practical applications. This book is a resource guide for experts as well as students.
