Beskrivelse

Making the world safe for another turn of the sun is harder the second time around when zombies and vampires are involved.

In the followup to the first novel, Carl Silverman, Genevieve Gray, and Grover Plover have made a new life in Baltimore, Maryland. They continue their zombie killing crusade in addition to trying to live a normal life.

All is not well, though. Amanda and Carl have ended their relationship at Amanda's request, and Carl begins dating Miranda, a vamp from the other side of a segregated city. Vamps are not considered full-fledged citizens, and they fear that the government will crack down on them and deny them their rights.

Worse, a new drug is killing people on both sides, Amanda dies in an ambush, and Carl grieves, vowing to find out who killed her and why. Miranda agrees to help even though her people-vamps-are being harassed and attacked.

Carl's quest for the truth leads him to discover who the people involved in the drug trade are, and he does so while trying to fit into both worlds and not being successful at living in either one. However, justice is still on his mind, and he is determined to find out the truth-even at the cost of his life.
