After the harrowing events of the past summer, Valentina Bianco is happy to take it easy, working on her wine importing business and enjoying the beauty of her Eastern Tennessee cabin, Elsewhere. With her boyfriend and FBI agent Jack Erikson all the way across the state, working an important case, she's content to have a quiet few weeks ahead of her.  

 

But all is not quiet in idyllic Long Lakes. A new resident has moved into the gated community, a famous actor hiding from his past. He has secrets, and they're about to catch up with him. From the moment he meets Valentina, he develops a keen interest in her, much to the chagrin of a jealous Jack.

 

When a young woman is brutally murdered, the community's residents are on edge. Who could possibly be behind it? As Valentina is about to learn, everything is not what it seems, and nowhere is safe.
