Beskrivelse

Read this book to develop a deep understanding of Nakshatras.

Even a layman can understand nakshatras by spending few weeks with this book.

A learner of Vedic Astrology can use this book as his/her basic text book on Nakshatras.

This book will also be good for someone who is coming into Vedic Astrology from western astrology.

===================

This book begins with explaining the underlaying philosophy of the interplay between Shiva and Shakti that is behind the division of the zodiac into 27 nakshatras and parallelly also into 12 signs.

Movement of Sun is the basis of dividing the Zodiac into 12 signs.

In the ancient India, the Zodiac was divided into 27 nakshatras on the basis of the movement of Moon. This book explains that how the Zodiac was divided into 27 nakshatras first and much before the idea of 12 signs came. How the 12-sign marking scheme on the zodiac was superimposed on to the pre-existing 27-nakshatra marking scheme which was already in use from much earlier time.

There is a separate chapter on every nakshatra. The energy of individual nakshatras have been described using key-words that are easy to understand and remember.

Nakshatra Devata vs Planetary Ruler

Every nakshatra is connected to a divine personality who is known as the Devata (or deity) of that nakshatra. Knowing the personality of the Devata (or deity) of a nakshatra tells a lot about the basic spiritual motivations working behind that nakshatra. In this book, in the chapter of any particular nakshatra, you will also find a brief description about the Devata of that nakshatra.

People generally think that nakshatras are primarily ruled by planets. Whereas we need to give greater importance to the Devata (deity) of any nakshatra to understand the energy of that nakshatra. So, for example, Purva Bhadrapada is ruled by Jupiter among planets (as per Vimshottari Dasha) but to really understand Purva Bhadrapada, it is more important to know that its Devata is Aja Ekapada. So, when you read about Aja Ekapada, in the chapter of Purva Bhadrapada, and if you note that Aja Ekapda is one of the forms of Rudra then you will see some similarity between Ardra and Purva Bhadrapada also.

Ganesha associated with every nakshatra

Bhagwan Ganesha is said to have manifested himself into 32 forms. 27 of these forms are respectively connected to the 27 nakshatra. In this book, when you are reading the chapter about any particular nakshatra, you will also find a brief description about the form of Ganesha associated with that nakshatra.
