Montessori Cards

The Montessori method of education was developed by Italian physician Maria Montessori. Emphasizing independence, it views children as naturally eager for knowledge and capable of initiating learning in a sufficiently supportive and well-prepared learning environment. It discourages some conventional measures of achievement, such as grades and tests. Montessori developed her theories in the early 1900s through scientific experimentation with her students; the method has since been used in many parts of the world, in public and private schools alike.

This Montessori cards workbook works great in a Montessori environment, as well as in a regular (home)school. There are cards with food, animals, feelings, math and appliances to cut and play with your kid. 

There are many ways to use these cards. Some exemple:

1. use the picture cards as flashcards

2. let kids find items around the house that match the cards such asa food items

3. use the picture cards with labels to play a game like I spy. " I spy with my little eye a food item that starts with the sound sssss"

4. let kids match the picture cards with the labels, using the pictures with labels as control cards to check their own work.
