Beskrivelse

Taken by Vikings at an early age, Orkan grows up in slavery. He befriends a brother and sister also taken in a raid. Through feats of courage, Orkan gains respect from his captors winning his freedom and finding himself on the verge of becoming a Viking. Then fate intervenes and forces him and his prot g s to flee on a long journey that takes them through Kiev then to Constantinople. Orkan has to fight against desperate odds that turn him into a much feared Berserker, who is driven by an unquenchable rage. Yet the fury that saves them also threatens to destroy him; only the love he seeks can save him. Orkan prevails through the lesser known aspect of Viking history, the eastern expansion based more on trade than on raiding as in the west. He becomes a great warrior yet has to prove himself all over again in the greatest battle of all, love.Look for the sequel, Unlearning Berserk.
