She is the daughter of the Sawmills owner, Terry Banks. Police are quick to arrest and charge an employee, Leo Parker with arson but despite being the person of interest in the abduction they cannot find any evidence to charge him. He is sentenced to 7 years in prison for the arson attack.



Leo Parker is released from prison after serving 5 years. He changes his name to Harry Sutton and returns to Becclesfield but is totally unaware there are people awaiting his return. They want to know what happened to Emily. This leads to deceit, love and betrayal.



The second part of the book revolves around events leading up to the fire at the Sawmills and portrays the characters as they were at that moment in time. Leo has a secret but it is not what it seems.
