Many families cope with the challenges of raising an autistic child. One of the best resources for them is a therapy dog who is trained to specialize in autism. In this story Jayce is a trained golden retriever who helps little Tommy and his family handle his moments of panic. Golden retrievers are one of the best breeds for this purpose because they are gentle and can tolerate little children before they are shown how to handle dogs.
